Juan started his new job at JPMorgan Chase in Allen, Texas, where he met Evelyn for the very first time. For their first date, Juan and Evelyn went to an Asian cuisine restaurant and then headed to Billy Bob’s to see Kevin Fowler. Evelyn and Juan were both nervous, but neither wanted to say it out loud. Still, the night felt easy, exciting, and like the start of a story they would never forget.

For their first Valentine’s Day together, Juan wanted to show Evelyn how much she meant to him. Since he knew she had never had a picnic before, he planned a fun picnic date just for the two of them. He even practiced setting it up in his apartment ahead of time to make sure every detail was beautiful. It made their first Valentine’s Day together feel extra thoughtful and memorable.

For their first trip together, Juan took Evelyn to San Antonio to show her where so much of his story began and to share a place where he could one day see them building a life together. Evelyn fell in love with the city and planned a beautiful weekend for the two of them at an elegant hotel in downtown San Antonio. Together, they explored the Pearl and the surrounding area, taking in everything the city had to offer. They listened to jazz, bonded over music and life, and would stay up for hours at night talking about their aspirations, goals, and appreciation for one another. It was a weekend that brought them even closer and gave them a glimpse of the beautiful future they could build together.

Their first out of state trip together took them to Gulf Shores, Alabama, with a fun stop in New Orleans along the way. Between exploring new places, enjoying the beach, and sharing every part of the adventure together, Juan and Evelyn grew even closer. It felt like the beginning of a new chapter, one filled with travel, memories, and the kind of partnership that made them realize they would be travel companions for life.

One of their biggest days together was moving into a new apartment and seeing Kings of Leon all in the very same day. Evelyn helped Juan move out of his apartment in astonishing heat, and the two of them spent the entire night unpacking and trying to put everything together just right. Even though it was exhausting, it reminded them that no matter how difficult life can be, they always have each other to lean on. It was not goodbye, Wyatt, just ciao for now.

During his lunch break, Juan quietly slipped away to meet with a custom jeweler and purchase Evelyn’s engagement ring. Since they both worked at the same branch location, he had to be extra careful to keep it a secret. It was the start of planning one of the most special moments of their story.
